BAJO
BAJO has been making toys for over 30 years, out of a village in Poland. BAJO believes that every child is an artist, and that there is an immense potential hidden in the act of playing and it pays off later throughout life.
BAJO takes the environment seriously. They use renewable, easy to recycle material, which is wood of deciduous trees, coming from places with sustainable forestry, in addition to sourcing left over materials from furniture and parquet manufacturers. To spice up the toys they are using cardboard, wool felt and organic cotton.
And as that wasn't enough, their factory roof is covered with solar panels.
Good proof of BAJOs coexistence with surrounding nature is the fact that deer raise little ones in the woods around the factory, birds build nests inside the facility. They have more or less eliminated plastic in the packaging and transport stages.
BAJO is on a mission to make solid, lasting things. The aim is to make toys that can be passed down for multiple generations.
Wooden toys communicate core ecological ideas. Contact with wood, its friendly warmth, possibility to build a whole universe from simple elements and a message that it carries - BAJO believe these are crucial steps in forming environmental consciousness.
One may say that wooden toys convey the love for nature in a perfect way.
